So I couldn't go out in public in my halloween costume, so the first hairstyle is my going out hairstyle... Acutally I lie. I had this great idea of a really cute textured bun, you know, the kind people with naturally curly hair have? Well, I "wrinkled" my hair, but every time I pulled it into a bun, it wasn't working with me. It was flat where I wanted volume, straight where I wanted waves, and frizzy all over. So I let down the wrinkled & threw in a twist for good measure. One of my favorite finds of this hair marathon was the braid across the back in day 30, so I improvised off that.
Then of course, there's Halloween. My hubby isn't a huge fan of dressing up, so I made the deal with him that I would be aturkey so he could be a hunter and wear the camo he already has. What do you think?
Day 48 - Halloween two for one special
How to Day 43
First step is to take the top section of your hair & twist it
Take that twisted section of hair & push up to encourage volume on top of your head. Secure the twist with bobby pins.
Take another small section of hair lower down & twist. Secure with bobby pins
For the twist on the side, split hair in two. Twist both sections in one direction (counter-clockwise)
Twist the two sections together in the opposite direction (clockwise) & secure with hairband.
Hooray!
I'm so excited because I finally found someone from Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program to talk to about my blog! yay!
Really, you should consider donating your hair, especially if you love doing different hairstyles. Think about the women who lose their hair to cancer, and how much just being able to do one hairstyle would mean to them.
You only need 8" to donate... think about it.

Straight Carrot Cake
So I saw Glamours September issue with Scarlet Johansen and I really loved her hair color...

So I went red! What do you think?
It's of course a semi-permanent dye to allow me to still donate my hair at the end of the blog. Want to know what you need to do to donate your hair?

How I should have done Day 46.
tried making it longer & hiding the extra a little better. It looks
better, but I think all in all there's not enough difference in my
layers to really make it right
Here's the youtube video that I used to try the style, maybe you'll
have better luck than I did...

How to (Day 45)
flat iron over it twisted. Leave it to cool (it should stay twisted
on it's own) while doing the rest of your hair. once all are cool,
shake it out & voila, beachy waves. If you're hair is really hard to
twist, you may want to hairspray it before the flatiron, or if you
know the night before, put mousse in your hair.

Day 46 - Plain Vanilla cut short
Day 45 is the first time I've tried the fake short bob. While it
turned out OK, here's what I'd do differently next time. 1) I'd
blowdry the top of my hair back, cause the layers fall to the side and
expose the back. 2) I'd make the "fold" on the hair underneath lower,
to match the length of the top layers so you don't see the space
underneath. 3) I'd tuck the hair differently. This time I made a
ponytail & tucked it under & through the hair and then pinned it on
top. (so it ended up being pinned right under the shorter layers)
Instead I should have tucked it & pinned it under all the hair. That
way if the top layers shifts, you wouldn't see all the pins & ponytail
ends. I'll try to get pictures tonight.
11 inches
My hair measured 11" tonight! Will def be donatable for the new year!
Hooray! I'm thinking of going red (auburn) - what do you think?
Day 45 - Wrinkled Wednesdays
crimped with a hair straightner and I love the beachy type waves I
get. They're what I would expect from braiding my hair & letting it
dry, but my hair never really drys like that. Notice too the twist in
the front for some character.
I'll post how to's later today.
Day 44
"your hair's different every day." I guess that means they all count
as different hairstyles!
Day 42 - Warrior Braid
Then I went to play with my baby sister, and surprise, surprise, I did
her hair too!
Day 41 - Regular Unleaded
When I asked my hubby what today's should be named, he said "it's just regular... regular unleaded..." haha. To get the curls, I slept with cornrows vertically in my hair. Simple, simple.
Day 40!!
Day 37 - Barbershop Shag
take it when I get home for today... (today's is called Aunt Jemima).
This is probably one of the worst photos so far! (except day 1...)
Day 36 - Gone with the Wind
side with the big hollywood-esque curls... I'll try to find a link to
the article...
Day 35 - Marsha, Marsha, Marsha
35.. Yep Marsha Brady had a hairstyle....
Day 33 - High & Mighty
It's Saturday and I barely got myself out of pjs... high ponytail = nice & easy! (and no makeup = even easier)
Day 32 - Twisted Lea
Ok, so I said I wasn't going to do Lea like buns, but it's 100 days... I need to use everything I can. To make the buns interesting, I first twisted them into a "rope" (See Day 25 - http://100hairstyles.blogspot.com/2009/10/day-25-pocohantas-on-rope.html) then put them in buns & - you got it - secured them with bobby pins.
I'm thinking the front of my hair needs some attention, cause todays front looks just like yesterdays...
