This started with two (Princess Lea) type buns worn to bed at night for the curls. Then teased in the back for volume & pulled into a ponytail. The top layers were rolled up & pinned to hide the ponytail band.

I know, pixie is usually a short hair style, but I think my hubby thought of elves (think lord of the rings)

Day 15 - Croc'ed Pony
It's Sunday, so my hair needs to be pulled back... I did do the bangs to keep it from looking too low maintenance.
Day 14 - Howdy!
This is a favorite of mine as well. Although I get Heidi, Wendy (it's way better than fast food), Pippi, country girl & more, I like the look & the ease.
Day 13 - Sleek & Meek
This is a comprimise of a hairdo. The bangs are back & out of my face, but it still looks done. Makes me look a bit younger as well ;-)
Day 12- Lion's Mane
I started doing my hair with the intention of pulling back my bangs, but I like how they ended up. Almost old Hollywood.
Day 11
Usually I take a picture at the beginning of the day, but I didn't have my camera this morning, so the wear & tear of a day shows in the picture. Either way, it's nice to have (most of) my hair off my face for the day, with a non-ponytail.
Day 10
Day 9 - Punky (Brewster) with a Crimp
This is one of my favorite finds of a hairstyle. To get the waves, I take a small section of hair & twist it tightly. Then I flatiron it while it's twisted & move onto the next piece while the first cools down. I look like I have dreds when I'm done! Then I shake it all out and voila! waves.

I have 2 more hairstyles to post, today & yesterday, but I forgot my camera at my dad's! bummer. I'll load both tomorrow.
Since I can't add a picture, I'll mention an idea I had for the blog. I want to get in touch with a hair donation charity (like Pantene Beautiful Lengths) to see if they will help me add a charity aspect to the website. That way maybe people could "sponser" my hair marathon! I need to try to call them, but it's only during work hours that they're open.

The nice thing is that you only need 8" to donate here. I hope I can get them to help me raise money for them, it would make this a lot more fun! And, wouldn't it be cool if the last (100th) hairstyle was my new short do after the donation!!
Vacation
So I went on vacation for the past week into the Adirondcks. Had a blast,but it's not exactly the place where you spend a lot of time on hairstyles. I've uploaded a few of the styles from the vacation, along with a picture or two of the places we went, but I'll be back into the count on Monday!

Day 7 - Wavy Gravy
So I tried for the inspiration picture again. I got close, but still not as wispy as the picture. I liked the results still, but think maybe the style was done with a round brush while blow drying. The best way to get these curls that I have is to take the curling iron to the top of the strand of h
air and do a quarter turn around the curling iron barrel and pull the curling iron through the hair. It keeps the curls from being to curly.
Day 6 - Sam Sheepdog Scared Straight
So far this is one of my favorites. My hubby wanted to call it "mop on top" cause he's not too fond of the bangs, but I think they're cute! Anyway this one is super simple, as long as you remember the key to super straight is to do small sections.Day 5 - Oriental Wonton
Today's hairstyle could also be called the White Rabbit... I'm late, I'm late, I'm really really late. I was planning on doing a hairstyle inspired by a Gap ad, but I ran out of time. Here's the ad I was trying to emulate, but I think I used too small of a curling iron, and I wasn't liking it, so I changed plans.Here are two pictures that made me think to do the hairstyle I actually ended up with (from Glamour Magazine & wireimage.com)
I think it's a good hurry up and go hairdo, but not my favorite ever.

Day 4 - Fancy Slanted Pony
I know! I'm lazy on the weekends! It's labor day & I'm relaxing, but I did change up my bangs. They're really cut to be straight across, but I think they work to the side as well.Day 3 - Drunk Pony
My hubby has decided he wants to name all the hairstyles, as seen above. Weekends are going to be hard for me, I don't like to do much with my hair on the weekend, so I'll have to expand my "easy to wear" category.
Bobby pins are a girls best friend for hiding bangs, and they kept the back in place as well.
