23 Days Left

Today's style, I'm sure I've done before... I can't find an exact match, but there are a few similar.

23 days left till the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Hair Cuttting event at In The Village!

24 Day Left - Easy Parcheesy

This is litterally how I woke up (minus the makup of course).  I brushed my fingers through a few places, used a bit of Pantene's spray wax, but because I had my hair all twisted the night before, it came out nice & wavy!  Love easy styles.

Don't forget - 24 days till the hair cutting event for Pantene Beautiful Lengths!

25 Days Left - Twisted Black Friday

So these are awful pics, I know, but I didn't get a chance to take them till the end of the day. Which leads me to think I need longer lasting makeup.... Anyway, they're similar to Day 75 - just with a twist instead of a braid. Gee... that picture was much better, oh well ;-)

26 Days Left - Criss Cross Remixed

Day 30 was one of my favorite hairstyles, I thought it was sooo fun!  So I decided to do it with curls.  Turned out nice, don't you think?

Also - I got this comment from theblondgenius:

Love the flyers - but I must admit I'll miss this blog. I've been growing my hair out for Pantene for over 2 years now. I'm having it cut off on Feb. 12th, a nod to Valentine's Day. You've given me great ideas for different styles. It's been fun playing with it, but when people ask me how I can bear cutting it off after growing it out for so long, my answer is always, "It's not my hair - I've just been taking care of it for someone else."

So here's what I've been thinking.  Instead of just stopping the blog, maybe I'll update it once a week as I grow out my hair.  I was thinking of finding other people who also wanted to post their growing out hairstyles.  It would be encouragement, especially when we get to those hard to deal with phases... what do you think?

And I looove her answer.  Think about that ladies, you could give the gift of hair to a women with cancer.

Here's some flyers that I'm going to post around to try to get some more participation in the hair cutting event.  What do you think?

28 Day Left - Simple Braid

I've been concentrating on the actual hair cutting event lately, so that hasn't left a lot of time to think of new dos.  Here's the do from today, I know, not very creative, but I have been using my creativity for the promotion of the hair cutting event on February 20th.

As a reminder, it's at In the Village, Mullica Hill NJ and supports Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program.  It looks like there will also be at least one person donating in Georgia & one in Arizona!

So here's some of the things I'm planning to use to promote the event.

31 Days Left - Wind Swept

A guy at work said, "I barely recognized you, your hair looks like it was caught up in a wind storm..."  What am I supposed to say to that?

32 Days Left - Poufy Pippi

Ahh, the crutch of changable bangs.  I did braids on day 14, but with the bangs to the side... this time, I added a pouf.

33 Days Left!

So I've decided to start counting down... to the hair cut!  It's official, the big cut will happen on February 20, 2010, probably from 2-4 PM.  In the Village will be hosting the event, and of course, the donations will go to Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Program.  For more details on signing up to donate, click here.

So - here's hairstyle for 33 days to go.

I know, it's boring, but I needed a break.  So I decided to show how much hair is required to make a donation

The ruler measures 8" long, so you can see that I will have to cut my hair to around chin length for the donation.  Not too bad!

What's funny is the accidental picture.  I was trying to get a picture of the back of my hair to really show the length, but as I was turning my head, I hit the shutter.  Tell me this doesn't look like I want to be on a Pantene commercial!

Day 100 - Hooray!

Today's it, day 100 (well, hairstyle 100 to be more specific).  It's been fun so far, but I'm not done yet!  Next on the list: organize the hair cutting event.  I'm talking to a salon about hosting, I hope to have more information tomorrow.  I'm still planning on donating mid-February, so I'll re-do some of my favorite hairstyles, or the ones that went wrong as I count down the days.  And for those of you hoping for a giant purple mohawk... sorry - all I can is point your to this girl who is obviously more brave than I.

Here's the real Day 100, inspired again by Biggest Loser.

Day 99 - Ropes Around

Day 99, I can't believe it.  This one was inspired while looking for wedding hairdos for my friend.  We ran across Anne Hataway's cute do.

Any suggestions for Day 100?  It won't be tommorow, I want to give you all a chance to suggest the best style...

Day 98 - Every Which Way

This hairstyle was for my company holiday party.  I wanted it to look different from my NYE style, since I was wearing the same outfit.   Here's a pic from the party...

After the party, I took some pics in the same place as usual (My hubby had the camera before the party, so I couldn't take the pics then.)

What I did was take various pieces of the hair from a ponytail in different directions and then pinned them down, like I did for my friend's hairstyle a while back for a wedding

Stayed in place pretty well.  But then, it should have with all the bobby pins.

Day 97 - Arf, Arf That Girl

So the hubby said that Sam Sheep dog was back "arf arf" and the guys at work said it looked like That Girl.

It was supposed to be like Flo on the Progressive, as my Aunt Sylvia suggested, but I guess I should have left more in front of the headband.

So what do you think?  Flo? That Girl?  Jenny?

Can't find the right pic of Jenny...

Day 96 - Braided Bun

Did one similar to this a while back, but didn't quite get the effect I wanted the last time.  This time you can really see the braid in the back.

Here's the last time Day 57 - Mop on Top Monday

hehe... now that I look at it, I even wore white that day.

Day 95 - French Twister

Danette loves to buy me those tools that you see in the drug store and always want to try, but can't bring yourself to buy.  Today, I tried out the "French Twister".  It seemed like a good fit because I went swimming early in the morning & needed a quick hairstyle before work.

I have to say I didn't expect to use it when I first got it (sorry Danette) but it was a GREAT quick hairstyle.  I had to practice a few times first.  Luckily I tried it the night before.  This morning, first shot is what I left all day.  And this pic is at the end of the day.  I have to say I give it two thumbs up!  tonytail.com

P.S. to give my hair some texture & lift, I used Pantene's Root Lifting Spray.

Day 94 - Ocean Braids

You know those 3-Barrel wavers that are out now?  Well I went in to the Cherry Hill Sam Ash & one of the managers had the cutest textured bun (like a girl with curly hair) but she said she had poker straight hair.  Apperantly her trick was to use one of those 3 Barrel Wavers to get the texture.  Well I had to have one....

And apperantly... I need more practice...
