Day 89 - Longwood Gardens

So I went to Longwood Gardens to see their holiday display, and the weather was predicting 20-30 mph winds.  I needed a hairstyle that would be out of my face & unaffectd by the wind.

So I did a french braid down the side, a bun in the back & a small braid on the other side for an accent.

The only thing I forgot was that it was so cold outside I would be wearing a hat all day!  Oh well...
My hair ended up holding up OK through the day... and we had a blast!

NYE Style - Bond Girls

Tomorow's New Years Eve & I'm going to a party with a "Bond Theme".  So, I figured I'd pick a hairstyle with a bond theme.  Here's some choices... which do you like best?  Also - any pictures you think I should look at for ideas?

And I think I'll try out some of the tips here: http://www.taaz.com/beauty/celebrity/movies/bond-girl-makeup.html

Day 88 - NYE Style Option1

I'm thinking about how I could do my hair for New Years Eve, and I've decided to test run one before I go.

It's inspired by this syle I saw in a Micheal Kors Ad for Very Hollywood Fragrance

I'm just afraid that my bangs won't stay back all night & that I'll look silly by the end of the night.

Here's the side & back.

Short Hair Envy Pt 3

After donating my hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths, I'll need a new do.  Here's a few more options.  What do you think?

Hehe... just kidding.  Checking to see if you're paying attention ;-)

Short Hair Envy pt 2

How about this look?

Short Hair Envy

It's the holidays, and I know you're busy, cause I'm busy.  And I have to be honest, I barely have the energy to spend on my hair for these days.  So for the next couple weeks (through New Years) I'm trying to decide on a new hairstyle.  You can help - let me know which ones you like, send me links to pics you like, upload pics you like to facebook.

I'm thinking one day I might play with the http://www.dailymakeover.com/ site, where i can upload a pic of myself and "Try On" hairstyles like these.

Here's what I like so far... I'd kind of like to go a bit edgy , but of course, then there's growing it back out...

OK - this isn't edgy at all, but sooo cute!

Not sure if mine would actually look like this...

Day 87 - Snow Day!

I was considering not doing anything to my hair, due to the FEET of snow that we're getting this weekend, but I thought it'd be a good opportunity to try something different.  It's a french "rope" braid.   I would really have to work on the right products to use if I was going to wear it out of the house, cause it started falling out within 1-2 hours.

Day 86 - Dawn's Paloma Knot

So I actually found this on Dawn's 100 hairstyle blog, I think I inspired someone & now she's inspired me back!  Thanks Dawn, I needed an easy one.

Day 85 - Hair Mutiny

So why is it that my hair sometimes decides to organize a mutiny?  Like this morning.  I thought this would be an easy style, but after the first time that I did my hair, it all started falling out one piece at a time.  Until it looked so bad I had to re-do it!  Grrr... Look at day 84, that really qualifies at mutiny.

Am I missing out on a product or process I should be doing?  I mean seriously, why is it so hard some days?

Day 84 - Buns All Around

I pulled my hair back into 3 ponytails & then made buns of them all. It actually looks a bit more messy than I intended. What do you think? cute or too messy?

As a side note, you'll notice that I'm all out laughing in the side picture.  That's becuase I forgot to take the pic at home - so during lunch, I asked Danette to take it.  Well, as I'm sitting in front of this wall waiting for her to take a pic, a coworker walks by & gives the funniest look... Thanks John - you made the blog.

Day 83 - Simple Curls

This one is like hot-roller curls, and I love it cause it's so simple.

Day 82 - Valley Girl with a Braid

Since today is a weekend, I couldn't bring myself to do anything overly fancy.  And my hair was just falling into the high pony, so I went with it.  To keep it different from Day 34, I wore my bangs down (1), added a braid around the base of the pony (2) and put on some makeup(3)!!!  Ok, so it's not a difference in the hairstyle, but it sure does make a difference.

Day 81 - Loop Around

This style evolved as I was doing my hair.  My intent was to do some small braids into a side ponytail, but I didn't love it as I finished.  What I ended up doing is taking the back (slightly off center) and twisting it up into the barette, and then pinning down the loose ends for a bun-like look.

Hair-athon Styles71-80

In efforts to support Pantene's Beautiful Lengths Program, I've been doing a hair-athon - a marathon of hairstyles and asking for support.  To support, donate your hair, help me find people who have hair long enough to donate or donate to American Cancer Society.
I'm up to day 80 and I'm on a business trip and I'm not sure how much access I'll have to a computer.  So, I've decided to do a mini-recap of the styles so far.  And since I've moved the date of my hair donation from December 22 to February 20 to allow people time to sign up, I need ideas of interesting posts, so here's styles 71 - 80 for those who may not have seen them.

Day 71 - Shhh... I'm hunting Wabbits

Day 72 - Amish Twist

Day 73 - Nanny Again

Day 74 - Tyra, Tyra, Tyra
